GERMANY ~Leipzig Station~

My first official this year (DE-1955777)... great building...with  many stores on three levels...it must be a shopping paradise!!Thanks a lot Steffi, especially for all the interesting information written on the back.


With the common 2011 UNESCO Altstadt Regensburg stamp.

Leipzig Central Station built from 1909 till 1915 is, at 83,460 m², World's largest railway station when measured by floor area. It has 24 platforms housed in six iron trainsheds; a multi-level concourse with towering stone arches; and a 293 metre-long facade. It handles an average of 120,000 passengers per day.In 1997 the promenades were opened.
