ITALY ~ Lake Maggiore - The Island of Pescatori ~

...Great view of a tiny island, little more than a rock-cliff and the only inhabited island among the four islands on the lake...with the most *cutest*  ˁ˚ᴥ˚ˀ giant panda ˁ˚ᴥ˚ˀ stamp...a perfect one to celebrate the birth of the first panda in a Belgian Zoo (Pariri Daiza)...  a rare event for an endangered species that numbers barely 2,000 worldwide...Thanks a lot Salvatore!!

Maggiore, meaning the ‘greatest, or superior’, is Italy’s second largest lake .These are four beautiful islands: Isola Bella, Isola Madre, Isola Superiore dei Pescatori and Isola San Giovanni.

Isola dei Pescatori (meaning Fishermen’s Island) is an island in Lake Maggiore in northern Italy.
The island’s inhabitants earn their living mainly by fishing and tourism.
