From backside postcard:
Magnificent Albert Dock is the UK's largest group of Grade I listed buildings, designed by Dock surveyor Jesse Hartley with architect Philip Hardwick. The fireproof warehouses, constructed of brick, cast iron and granite, without use of wood, opened in 1846.

Today the dock is a vibrant social and cultural hub at the heart of Liverpool's world class waterfront. The Dock is home of the Beatles story, tate Liverpool, Merseyside Maritime museum. The International Slavery museum and many other attractions.

It was listed by Unesco as a World Heritage site in 2004.
