VIETNAM ~ Tam Coc Landscape - UNESCO ~

... First of two wonderful cards sent by postcard friend Jobboツ... amazing scenery of one of the most beautiful regions in Vietnam... this location is famous for its natural beauty with mountains, streams and paddy fields... it is a miniature landlocked version of Ha Long Bay and  known as "Halong Bay on Land" ... Thanks a lot Jobbo!! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (PS. And how was the "snake" dining experience??? ʘ͜͡ʘ )

Tam Coc is located about 90 kilometers south of Hanoi in Ninh Binh province (home of the Tran dynasty) and near to the city of Ninh Binh.

Tam Coc, literally "three caves", consists of three natural caves,  Hang Cả, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba. These three caves were formed by Ngo Dong river after long erosive process of water river running through limestone mountains.

The area is part of the famous Trang An Landscape Complex UNESCO World Heritage site. (2014)
