THAILAND ~ Hua Lampong Railway station - Bangkok ~

... Nice view nr2 coming from postcard friend Jobbo... an impressive Hanger like building with over 14 platforms and 26 ticket boots to cope with the demand from the thousands of passengers that depart from here everyday... located in the city centre... Thanks Jobbo!!【ツ】(don't mind it at all being "bombarded" with great postcards ʘ͜͡ʘ  )

Bangkok Railway Station unofficially known as Hua Lamphong Station, is the main railway station in Bangkok and is operated by the State Railway of Thailand.

The station was opened on June 25, 1916 after six years' construction and is built in an Italian Neo-Renaissance-style, with decorated wooden roofs and stained glass windows. The architecture is attributed to Turin-born Mario Tamagno, who with countryman Annibale Rigotti (1870–1968) was also responsible for the design of several other early 20th century public buildings in Bangkok.
